Units
Inmates are placed into a unit when they arrive to any facility. Units are based on the inmates they hold. We have 6 Units. 4 Regular Units and 2 Medical Units. They are:
> General Offenders Unit (G O U)
> Secure Offenders Unit (S O U)
> Isolation Unit (I U)
> Secure Isolation Unit (S I U)
> General Medical Unit (G M U)
> and Secure Medical Unit (S M U).
When an inmate enters, they are booked into Isolation, Secure Offenders, General Offenders or General Medical. (For more information go to Booking).
During their time at CODA Correctional, they may be upgraded or downgraded to a unit. Inmates violating the rules or oftenly getting punishments may be reported to Secure Isolation and Secure Medical, which have strict schedules and less free time.
Secure Isolation Inmates are split into two sections:
> Personal Safety Secure Isolation Unit (PSSIU)
> and Sectioned Secure Isolation Unit (SSIU).
PSSIU are for Inmates with self-harm tendancies, or are prone to harm others when let out.
SSIU are for Inmates with prone anger issues, or major behavioural problems, which pose a risk to other inmates and staff.
PSSIU and SSIU inmates are located in Sector 6.
PSSIU and SSIU are not allowed to be let out of Sector 6, Sector 3 or Sector 5. There are direct hallways from Sector 6 to Sector 3 and Sector 5.
Secure Medical Unit Inmates are also split into two sections:
> Safety Secure Medical Unit (SSMU)
> and Behavioural Secure Medical Unit (BSMU)
SSMU and BSMU inmates are located in Sector 3B. Sector 3B hosts councilling rooms for those inmates.
SSMU Inmates have similar issues to those in PSSIU, but SSMU inmates are allowed more free time than those in PSSIU, with their therapy and counselling.
Some BSMU Inmates have similar issues to those in SSIU. BSMU Inmates are usually inmates that need physical treatment, but some BSMU inmates have therapists.
SSMU, BSMU, PSSIU and SSIU inmates require constant monitoring due to their behavioural issues.
PSSIU and SSIU inmates get a maximum of 100 days added onto their sentence, and SSMU and BSMU get a maximum of 50 days added onto their sentance, or a perement move to CODA's Northernrake Mental Hospital. There, they will be treated with more strict schedules.
GMU patients can be resorted to SMU if their mental state declines, or their behavioral issues get worse. GMU patients cannot be directly transfered to Northernrake Mental Hospital.
